With the praise of my Lord, I begin this radiant poem,
then blessings and peace upon the noble life and path -
Upon a Prophet whose name is Muhammad,
His father was Abdullah, and he was the only child born from him -
His grandfather was Shaybah, known as Abdul-Muttalib,
from the lineage of Adnan, and his origin is Arab. -
And his mother was Aminah, daughter of Wahb,
his forefathers were among Quraysh. -
His birth was in the Secure City,
in the Year of the Elephant, as clarification. -
On a Monday, in Rabi Al-Awwal,
on its twelfth day, rely upon this reckoning. -
He was suckled and fully nursed with Halimah
for four complete years, with great blessing. -
And his mother died after six (years of his age),
And his grandfather passed away after eight. -
Then his uncle Abu Talib took care of him,
And he travelled with him to Busra in Syria and journeyed there. -
After that, he worked as a merchant with the wealth
of Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, then afterwards she became his wife. -
And at the completion of forty years, he was sent (as a Messenger),
to the people, guiding them to a religion with which he was entrusted. -
He called to Tawhid in the heart of Mecca,
For thirteen complete years. -
And after that, his migration became necessary,
to Taybah (Medina), then the swords were legislated. -
He fought twenty seven battles with divine support,
And his death was in the eleventh year of Hijrah. -

Sawdah bint Zam'ah, then Aisha bint Abi Bakr the purified one. -
Then Hafsah, Zaynab, and Umm Salamah,
And Zaynab bint Jahsh, the honoured one. -
Then Juwayriyah, daughter of Al-Harith,
And Umm Habibah, whose name was Ramlah. -
Safiyyah, Maymunah, and all were
from the descendants of Isma‘il except the ninth one. -
His children were: al-Qasim, Abdullah,
The pure and the righteous one of noble and pure rank. -
And Zaynab, Ruqayyah, and Fatimah,
And Umm Kulthum; and lastly Ibrahim.
