Says the one hopeful in his Creator, He is Al-Amin Muwafiqi:
-
Praise be to Him who guided me To the Sunnah of the Adnani,
-
Muhammad, the Chosen One, And the master of the pure ones.
-
This is a poem, Pleasant and concise,
-
Concerning the biography of the purified one, Our intercessor on the Day of Gathering.
-
I wrote it so it may spread Among mankind and the people.
-
So I ask Allah, my Lord, To complete what I hope for.
-
His noble names are many and lofty.
-
In the Quran there came from God two names:
-
The most famous of them is Muhammad, and there also came Ahmad.
-
And in the authentic books of hadith came: the Gatherer and the Eraser,
-
And the final Successor, and with what has passed, we suffice.
-
and the birth of the Messenger coincided with the Year of the Elephant.
-
In honoured Makkah, within a noble family.
-
He is the son of Abdullah, the Qurashi, a man of honour.
-
His grandfather is Abdul Muttalib, a man of lineage and noble ancestry.
-
Aminah is the mother of the Prophet, and she was the daughter of Wahb, of noble descent.
-
She took charge of raising him after the death of his father.
-
His blessed wet nurse was Halimah Al-Saadiyyah.
-
The pure and noble child grew up
-
Among the best of the Arabs, among Banu Saad and nobility.
-
Our Prophet tended sheep, like the prophets among the nations.
-
And while he was still a child, during his shepherding and play,
-
Suddenly the angel came to him and split open his pure chest.
-
He removed his heart from it and cleansed it with Zamzam.
-
And after purifying it, he filled it with wisdom.
-
The news reached Halimah from every child who was present,
-
And all of them reported: “Muhammad has been killed!”
-
And when he returned, he informed of what he saw and what had happened.
-
So Halimah became distressed by this tremendous matter,
-
And she returned the blessed child to his mother.
-
And he went to Madinah with his mother Aminah,
-
To Banu al Najjar, his noble [maternal] uncles.
-
His [maternal] uncles through lineage, from the mother of Abdul Muttalib.
-
And on the journey of his return to his home and land,
-
He burst into tears in the village of Al-Abwa.
-
A tragedy had occurred, for his mother had died.
-
After her, the orphan was cared for by the compassionate one,
-
His grandfather Abdul Muttalib, a man of honour in the land of the Arabs.
-
Then God decreed the death of the one who cared for him,
-
So the guardianship passed to Abu Talib, the noble and dignified man.
-
Of our great Prophet, the orphan,
-
He brought him into his household and strove in caring for him.
-
With his noble uncle, they travelled to Al-Sham,
-
On the summer journey that was made for trade.
-
And along the way they came forward with joy and then met
-
Bahira, the learned monk and honoured man.
-
He recognised the Prophet when he saw the young boy,
-
And he said: “Listen to me now, and do not disobey me.
-
Do not enter Al-Sham with the master of mankind.
-
I fear that if they see him, they will treacherously kill him.”
-
So his uncle returned him to his homeland out of fear for him.
-
After his youth had fully matured and been completed,
-
The pure and noble Prophet married
-
Khadijah, the chaste and honourable woman,
-
Because of his truthfulness and chastity, and that was before his prophethood.
-
And he excelled in trade for the noble and chosen lady.
-
And after thirty five years had passed,
-
He took part with his people in building the Kaabah, and was entrusted
-
With placing the blessed Black Stone.
-
And after forty years of his life with certainty,
-
Our Prophet, as was his habit, was in the cave engaged in worship,
-
When Jibril came to him with the command, saying: “Read,”
-
As has come in the authentic and well known report.
-
So he informed the purified Khadijah of what had happened,
-
And of what he had seen and heard, and how he had feared and become distressed.
-
So she calmed his fear and reminded him of his virtues.
-
“By Allah, He will never disgrace you, and Allah will choose you.
-
You speak truthfully, maintain ties of kinship,
-
And you honour guests, and aid the distressed.
-
And you provide for those who have nothing, so this fear will not remain.”
-
And his wife took him to a learned man whom she knew,
-
Her righteous cousin, Waraqah Ibn Nawfal.
-
So he said: “What is it that you saw, Oh son of my brother, and what happened?
-
Tell me the news and what occurred in the cave.”
-
So when he related what had happened, he said to him and informed him:
-
“That is the angelic messenger who used to descend to Musa.”
-
“I wish that I might live to see the time when your people drive you out.”
-
He said: “Will they really expel me from my blessed homeland?”
-
He replied: “Indeed, whoever comes with something like this, Oh young man,
-
Will surely be harmed for his religion and treated with hostility.”
-
The first to believe in him were his wife and his companion,
-
And Zayd, the righteous one, and Ali, the young boy.
-
And Bilal, the slave, whom As-Sediq set free.
-
And a group who were given glad tidings and informed of Paradise.
-
The call was at first kept secret and not made openly.
-
Then after that, he was commanded to warn his people.
-
So they gathered upon Al-Safa and listened to the Chosen One.
-
He said: “Oh my clan, all of you, even my own daughter,
-
I cannot avail you against Allah, so worship your Lord and affirm His oneness.
-
So Abu Lahab insulted him because of that reason.
-
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, he will burn in the blazing Fire.
-
And the people of Makkah denied their Prophet and tortured
-
Weak people who had accepted Islam, but they were not safe.
-
So they migrated to Abyssinia after the persecution
-
Had become severe and increased, and Allah had willed it.
-
They settled with the Negus in his land and found safety.
-
And after the acceptance of Islam by Umar and Hamzah, victory came,
-
As the Muslims became strengthened through Umar and Hamzah.
-
And after that, the moon split, but they said: “Ongoing magic.”
-
And they repeatedly attempted to kill the Chosen One.
-
And they openly declared hostility against whoever refused loyalty to them.
-
And they besieged the pure and noble Prophet,
-
Along with his people in the valley, in hardship and distress.
-
For a period, until their pact was broken and destroyed.
-
And during it, his uncle died, and after him, his wife also died.
-
Our Prophet moved among the people so that he might convey
-
Among mankind what he had been commanded to spread.
-
Until he came to Thaqif, but they denied the noble one.
-
And a group of jinn came who accepted Islam and submitted to their Lord.
-
After that, he was taken by night, and he met the prophets.
-
Then he ascended to the heavens, and he spoke to his Lord.
-
Then the prayer was made obligatory, five each day were established.
-
After that, he went to Mina and met
-
A delegation from the Ansar for the pledge to the Chosen One,
-
So that they support the Prophet in noble Taybah [Madinah].
-
Then came the command for migration for everyone who was able.
-
And the truthful, compassionate companion remained behind,
-
So he could accompany the Chosen One on all journeys.
-
So the two travelled together in the migration, so that Allah might raise his rank.
-
Our Prophet, the Chosen One, was welcomed by the Ansar
-
With joy and happiness, with love and delight.
-
The first thing our Prophet did when he arrived
-
Was the building of Quba, and he perfected its construction.
-
Then came the building of the mosque of Muhammad, the best of mankind.
-
His dwelling was at the edge, known as the chambers.
-
And he established brotherhood between noble emigrant brothers
-
And the Ansar brothers, the righteous companions.
-
After that, he consummated his marriage with the honoured Aishah.
-
And he made treaties with the Jews and firmly established the agreements.
-
The obligation of fasting came, along with zakah, Oh young man.
-
Then the call to prayer was legislated, and wine was also forbidden.
-
They turned towards the qiblah, meaning towards the Kaabah.
-
And the rest of the rulings came throughout the following years.
-
His wives were eleven, according to what has been narrated and well known:
-
Khadijah, then Sawdah, Aishah, then Hafsah,
-
And Zaynab, and Ramlah, Maymunah, and Safiyyah,

And Hind, and the next one is his wife Juwayriyyah,
-

Zaynab bint Khuzaymah, and Zaynab bint Jahsh.
-
His children were seven, and his daughters were four:
-
Zaynab was the first, followed by Umm Kulthum,
-
Then Ruqayyah, and after her Fatimah, the last of them.
-
As for the sons, the first of them was Qasim,
-
And Abdullah the pure, and I also mention Ibrahim.
-
They all died during his lifetime, except Fatimah, who died after him.
-

The Battle of Badr, in which the Prophet was victorious, and
-
An army of the people of Makkah was defeated in Ramadan.
-
After that, the army was defeated at Uhud and did not remain unharmed,
-
Because most of the archers came down and did not obey his command.
-
So the defeat was severe and painful.
-
Then Banu Al-Nadir committed a vile act,
-
And intended treachery, as was known from their people.
-
So our Prophet expelled them and banished them to Al-Sham.
-
And after that came the Confederates, but they failed in their efforts.
-
And they saw Madinah fortified with a trench.
-
Their army retreated, struck by wind and fear together.
-
Qurayzah had broken their strong covenant,
-
As they allied with the Confederates and abandoned what was right.
-
So they were killed because of their treachery, evil, and plotting.
-
After that came Al-Hudaybiyyah, which became a decisive treaty.
-
Its conditions became well known and were written as binding agreements.
-
Then after that came Khaybar, it was ruined and they were defeated.
-
And the Jews betrayed, and the agreements were lost.
-
Then after that, in Makkah, a tremendous conquest was established.
-
It [fighting] was made lawful for the Chosen One for a portion of the day.
-
And the army of Allah came, humiliating every arrogant one.
-
And at Hunayn, the army of the Prophet prevailed and was victorious.
-
Victory came after they had nearly been defeated.
-
The last of them, so affirm it, was the expedition of the Army of Hardship.
-
He travelled to Tabuk, purifying the lands.
-
After that came the Farewell Pilgrimage, whose events became widely known,
-
And were mentioned in the narrations.
-
“Today I have perfected for you your religion.”
-
In the eleventh year, on the twelfth day,
-
In the month of Rabi Al-Awwal, occurred the death of the best of messengers.
-
Madinah became darkened and filled with grief.
-
Everyone wept, and tears poured forth,
-
Over the loss of that guide, the one who honoured gatherings.
-
And after our Prophet was shrouded, he was buried
-
In the chamber of the truthful and compassionate Aishah.
-
Then As-Sediq was pledged allegiance to, the gentle and loyal man,
-
As he was the most deserving in the nation for the position that was entrusted to him.
-
And thus is completed what I composed concerning the one whom I love,
-
The Chosen One, the best of mankind, Muhammad, the noble and radiant one.
-
I ask Allah, the Most High, for forgiveness for every mistake,
-
And to see the Most Merciful and His majestic Face,
-
And for the companionship of the pure and noble Prophet.
-
Oh Lord, send prayers forever upon the Prophet Ahmad,
-
And upon his family, his companions, and those who follow his guidance,
-
As long as the doves sing and mankind glorifies Allah.
